Lyon & Sioux Rural Water System, Inc. was organized in 1970 as a non-profit corporation under the provisions of Iowa Code Chapter 504A. The System is member-owned and governed by an elected nine member Board of Directors. The System is managed by a management team who direct the activities of all other personnel by the policies adopted by the Board of Directors.

Lyon & Sioux Rural Water System, Inc. was organized in 1970 as a non-profit corporation under the provisions of Iowa Code Chapter 504A.  The System is member-owned and governed by an elected nine member Board of Directors. The System is managed by a management team who direct the activities of all other personnel by the policies adopted by the Board of Directors. An annual meeting is held each year for the election of directors, annual report and presentation of the budget.
